  • On 22nd  January 2015 The wanadamu story was shared to Rotary members of Lavington.
  • On 27th June 2014 Wanadamu partnered with orange Kenya once again to sign up their staff at extelecom office within the CBD onto the wanadamu database where a manual registration exercise was conducted throughout the day.

  • On 3rd and 4th May 2014 wanadamu was part of OKOA LIFE a two day blood drive organized by G-Pay in partnership with other stakeholders held in Dandora stadium and Holy Cross Catholic Church respectively.
  • On 28th February 2014 we joined the world in marking rare disease day where we helped the Kenyan organizers create awareness online on rare diseases.
  • On 25th January 2014 we joined KIOTA at the Kuona Trust. The event brought together an eclectic variety of visual artists. The aim was to provide a platform for the sharing of creative experiences and ideas, as well as providing art lovers and artists with an opportunity to interact, share, and learn from each other.
  • In December 2013 we were part of the 12 days of Christmas campaign where we visited 12 children homes in 12 days to make the 2013 Christmas different for those who stay there. We did chores and also mobilized food, clothes, stationary and cash donations.
  • In November 2013 we were part of Twestival Nairobi where we helped fundraise and plant 750 trees in the Nairobi National Park. The initiative was also supported by Nakumatt, Pawa 254 and Serena Hotels
  • In July 2013 we were nominated for social media awards 2013 in two categories. Best use of social media – Advocacy and social media innovation of the year. We did not win
  • On 6th July 2013, Kuna Vijana’s initiative Wanadamu partnered with the heart to heart foundation in the annual event to raise funds for heart surgeries.
  • On 4th July 2013, Kuna Vijana’s initiative Wanadamu turned 2 years having attended to over 800 blood appeals in Kenya, Uganda and south Sudan
  • On 4th March 2013, Kuna Vijana launched the official website for wanadamu where people could know more about wanadamu, sign up as donors, submit blood appeals and track blood appeals.
  • On 14th February 2013, Kuna Vijana joined Kenya road safety in visiting road accident survivors at Kenyatta National hospital
  • On 24 November 2012,, Kuna Vijana C.E.O was invited by Daystar university students to give a talk on Peace and need to vote in coming elections at PAWA254
  • On 24 November 2012,, Kuna Vijana initiative Wanadamu in conjunction with Nakumatt and Dial a delivery visited the Pediatric ward at Kenyatta National Hospital to celebrate thank giving with them.
  • On 3 November 2012,, Aiesec Kenya invited Kuna Vijana C.E.O to give a speech on entrepreneurship during their annual conference at Kabarak university.
  • On 25 October 2012,, a presentation on how Kuna Vijana uses social media and Wanadamu was done to University of Nairobi, School of Business, Lower Kabete Campus during the Social Pro event.
  • On 13 October 2012,, Tatua Kenya invited the Wanadamu team to give a talk on Wanadamu as an initiative which is an example of a ground up solution
  • On 12 – 13 October 2012,, Wanadamu partnered with Kingsway tyres to do a blood drive in the City Centre and Village Market on the respective days.
  • On 29 September 2012,, Kuna Vijana visited Jikaze IDP camp to deliver in kind donations collected through networks and football kits for the two teams within the Jikaze community so as to motivate the boys, make them more competitive and also stay away from vices. The event was put together with the help of Twitter FC, Niaje.com, Pad Heaven and supported by Gor Mahia FC
  • On 13 September 2012, Kuna Vijana joined Niaje.com to do an event to raise money for Conjestina Achieng at Tamasha Hurlinghum.
  • On 4 JULY 2012, KUNA VIJANA’S Wanadamu initiative turned 1 year old having attended to over 200 appeals in Kenya with a growing database of over 7000 willing donors. The anniversary was celebrated at the MJ Centre graced by Dr. Dan Gikonyo as the chief guest.
  • On 14 FEBRUARY 2012, KUNA VIJANA’S Wanadamu initiative joined hands with Kenya Road Safety to do a love drives campaign where flowers were taken to road accident patients at Kenyatta National Hospital and National Spinal Injury Hospital.
  • On 9 September 2011, KUNA VIJANA’S Wanadamu initiative launched phase 2 of the project where a get well soon card is physically delivered to those we get donors to donate blood for them.
  • On 30th July 2011, KUNA VIJANA took part in the county level of the GATE (G-inue Annual Talent Explosion) competition in Bungoma.
  • On 16th July 2011, KUNA VIJANA was part of GATE (G-inue Annual Talent Explosion) an annual nationwide competition by Sanaa Arts in conjunction with Ministry of youth and Aphiaplus western. This was the district level of the competition.
  • On 15th July 2011, KUNA VIJANA was part ‘Sauti za Mabinti’ an event that was hosted at Goethe Insitut with the aim of focusing and redefining the role of women in the hip-hop culture.
  • On 4th July 2011, KUNA VIJANA officially launched the WANADAMU initiative triggered to reduce the number of people who die as a result of little or no blood.
  • On 25th September 2010, there was an event to mark the climax of international youth week. Kuna Vijana and Sanaa Arts was part of the event and together we were enhancing community development through talent support and resource mobilization for our youth.
  • On August 8th 2010 – Kuna Vijana took part in Open Mic hosted by Adelle at Nairobi International School. Open mic is a monthly poetry event held in Nairobi and acts as an avenue for poets to showcase their work. On this day, the theme was PEACE.
  • On July 26th 2010 – Kuna Vijana was invited by Association of Professional Societies in East Africa (APSEA) for a breakfast meeting where we deliberated to map out a post- referendum strategy and to ensure that Kenyans are adequately prepared for a post- referendum results regardless of the outcome.
  • On April 3rd 2010 – Kuna Vijana in conjunction with G.D.O (Gals Day Out) visited resettled IDPs in Jikaze Camp, Naivasha. We conducted interactive as well as informative talks with the youths of the camp and managed to donate a 50kg sack of Unga for ‘Jivumu Aids Self-help Group’ a HIV/AIDS group in the camp. We also delivered donations from our members.
  • On February 20th 2010 – Kuna Vijana members in Eldoret had a members meeting at ANNEX campus to discuss Kuna Vijana in Eldoret in the year 2010 for Kuna Vijana has a lot planned. Members also got to register officially, know more about Kuna Vijana and have their questions and suggestions addressed.
  • On December 19th 2009 – Kuna Vijana in conjunction with the Clan visited Jikaze community to wish them a merry Christmas and prosperous New Year. Donations of water storage containers (Drums and buckets), food stuff, clothes, sanitary towels and footballs were delivered.
  • On December 1st 2009 – Kuna Vijana in conjunction with the slum code group, Afya Kenya and coalition entertainment successfully did an event dubbed SLUMFEST III whose theme was MPANGO NI LIFE. We seek to celebrate the lives of those affected and infected with HIV/AIDS. Those present got to know their status and what role they can play in killing stigma and promoting positive living.
  • On November 28th and 29th 2009 – Kuna Vijana were part of the 3 on 3 basketball tournament organized by Camp of hope and Orontorio. The tournament seek to raise clothes, shoes and food stuff that would be given out to charity and Kuna Vijana was also one of the beneficiaries of the donations.
  • On October 20th 2009 – Kuna Vijana, Bone Marrow and the clan visited Jikaze IDP camp in Naivasha. We engaged the ladies aged between 12 years and 26 years old in menstrual education and the gents in talks on drugs and entrepreneurship. We donated Sanitary towels and new panties for the ladies.
  • On August 29th 2009 – Kuna Vijana visited Jikaze IDP camp in Naivasha. We donated toys, clothes and educational materials. We also engaged them in discussions and guidance and counselling.
  • On August 1st 2009 – Kuna Vijana took part in a charity event by visiting a children’s home in Machakos (Springs of Hope children’s home).
  • On July 24th 2009 – We started a Kuna Vijana programme at Kibera coutesy of Pamoja Fm. The programme takes place once a week for 2 hours.
  • On July 11th 2009 – We visited Jikaze Self help site in Naivasha to do a reconnaissance study so that when we go on the August 22nd to 23rd 2009 we live a mark in their lives and give them a boost as they strive to rise.
  • On 27th June 2009 – Kuna Vijana in conjunction with CLI, IAP, Afro Global education and KEY-I organized a youth empowerment conference held at KCCT Mbagathi (Multimedia university) which seek to address issues on Youth and development, Youth and peace building, Youth and entrepreneurship, Youth and climate change just to mention a few, The listed were tackled by invited guests with experience and information on the issues .Dr P.L.O Lumumba addressed Youth and peace building. All who attended were issued with certificates of successfully completing the training.
  • On 24th June 2009 – Connect magazine editors organized a CALL FOR WRITERS AND PHOTOGRAPHERS in conjunction with Kuna Vijana. Talented in writing articles and taking photos took place at the international casino along museum hill in Nairobi.
  • On 17th June 2009 – Kuna Vijana members took part in a stand up comedy organized by a member ‘Raptcha the sayantist’ It was a stand up comedy in sheng held at the alliance francaise in Nairobi. The turn out was great and the hall was filled to capacity.
  • On 13th June 2009 to 14th June 2009 – Kuna Vijana organized a stand at the 20th century where members came to officially register by filling a form, attaching a photo and paying 200/- All those who stopped by (including the public) also got to know more about Kuna Vijana.
  • On 23rd May 2009 – Kuna Vijana members took part in auditions for actors and actresses for upcoming films cast and crew at Kenya National Theatre. Out of the 775 members invited, 365 members attended.
  • From 11th May 2009 to 15th May 2009 – Kuna Vijana conducted the first C-4-C training in Nairobi where 16 applicants who are members were intensively trained on conflict resolution methods putting emphasis on communication and totally getting rid of violence as a form of addressing conflicts.
  • On 21st April 2009 – Kuna Vijana members took part in a seminar that strived to equip individuals with the necessary information concerning pursuing further studies in Malaysia facilitated by Swinburne University of Technology courtesy of Afro Global education. The seminar took place in Nairobi at the Afro Global education office along Masaba road next to NIC bank. Out of the 516 members invited, 197 members attended.
  • On 18th April and 19th April 2009 – A Kuna Vijana members who formed a rock band was performing at Kenya National Theatre. Out of the 700 members invited, 386 members attended. This gave rise to a new rock band formed by 6 members called ‘Last traces of Aiden’.
  • On 23rd March and 24th March 2009 – Kuna Vijana members took part in a seminar that strived to equip individuals with the necessary information concerning pursuing further studies outside the country majoring on Philippines and China universities. It was at Abdul Rasoul building in Mombasa. The same seminar took place in Nairobi on 25th and 26th March 2009 at the Afro Global education office along Masaba road next to NIC bank. Out of the 504 members invited, 216 members attended.
  • On 7th March and 8th March 2009 – Kuna Vijana members took part in a seminar that strived to equip individuals with the necessary information concerning pursuing further studies outside the country majoring on Malaysian universities. It was at Laico Regency. Out of the 470 members invited, 214 members attended. This event created an offer for the members i.e. a 30% Scholarship in selected direct degree courses in Limkokwing University of creative technology in Malaysia and earn an Anglia Ruskin University UK degree.
  • On 7th March 2009 – Kuna Vijana members took part in auditions for dancers at Westlands. Out of the 425 members invited, 187 members attended.
  • On 23rd January and 24th January 2009 – Kuna Vijana members took part in auditions for actors and actresses at Kenya National Theatre. Out of the 358 members invited, 141 members attended.
  • On 19th January 2009 – Kuna Vijana members took part in auditions for actors and actresses at Medeva. (Go down Art Centre) Out of the 392 members invited, 204 members attended. 16 members were select to form the in an upcoming movie
  • On 20th October 2008 – Kuna Vijana members took part in auditions for actors and actresses at Westlands hosted by TV KENYA.
